Durability is one of the key features of high-quality luxury vinyls, making them hard-wearing and scratch resistant in a busy home and commercial environments. They are a perfect high traffic situations in shops, hotels or other business premises.

MaintenanceThis particular floor is easy to clean with a light brush or vacuum, then a light mop will keep the floor it perfect condition. Care must be taken not to use bleach or any highly acidic floor cleaners, as this would deteriorate the surface finish. We recommend the manufacturer’s floor cleaner as they are a perfect match for your floor.

Sub floor Preparation –Both the click and dry back glued down system may require an element of subfloor preparation in order to make sure the floor is level and smooth enough to work with. (see our subfloor prep service for more details)

LVT planks with a click system – are often made from a stone polymer compound, making the plank and click system super strong. Many of our floors also benefit from a built in underlay, which offers excellent acoustic and thermal properties. This system works very much like other floating floors its loose laid on top of the subfloor with an underlay, but is not glued directly on to it.

The dry back or glued down system in a planks or tile – This type of floor is flexible and light in its composition and is made up of bonded layers with a top wear layer that protects the floor from excessive wear. This flooring comes in a different size tile, a full planks or small parquet tile.

Engineered wood flooringOn first impression Engineered wood flooring has the appearance of natural solid wood floor. However, the boards are constructed in a way that makes the boards practical and versatile for home installation.

The ambient temperature in a home fluctuates so much with central and underfloor heating that the temperature changes can cause a solid wood to warp because in this state the wood is susceptible to expansion and contraction.

Engineered wood is designed to overcome this problem with a 3 core system that offers a ply board backing that prevents the engineered wood from moving.

The resulting boards have the appearance of solid wood but easier to install, engineered wood has become a popular choice for many homes. Giving the same irresistible feel and an unmistakable natural look, engineered wood is a great choice throughout most areas of the home. gorgeous, long-lasting.

Engineered wood flooring is one of the wooden flooring types designed to work well with underfloor heating without drying or warping. The wood used for our floors is carefully selected from sustainable sources.

Our wood flooring collection is carefully selected from sustainably sourced, responsibly managed forests and complies with the FSC, the mark of responsibly sourced forestry.

Sub Floor Preparation

As part of the professional installation process, we offer a comprehensive subfloor repair, or installation service. We undertake the necessary work needed to provide a solution to any flooring issues prior to the installation of your new floor covering. All work will be carried out in accordance with the appropriate British, European standard and follows current good working practices.

Because each subfloor is so specific, we always carry out an inspection at the initial survey to ensure that we are aware of any issues that may be become evident upon the removal of your old floor covering prior to the new installation. Therefore, it will be necessary to inspect the subfloor on the home survey.

We do this to ensure the subfloor is stable, free from cracking and unevenness as any faults in the subfloor may reflect through the subfloor into the new floor and could lead to the premature failure of the new decorative floor covering. Any issues will be resolved, and specific treatment will be carried out in advance of your installation.
